Issue No.01 — Quantum & AI · Portfolio of George Jiri Spitalsky

Quantum,
artificial
intelligence.

I'm George Jiri Spitalsky — a quantum & AI researcher and creative developer. I design algorithms, scale GPU-accelerated quantum simulation, and turn frontier research into work that is real, reproducible, and quietly beautiful.

01 — About

A researcher who ships.

George (spital) works where quantum computing meets artificial intelligence. He's a Qiskit Advocate, holds 15+ quantum credentials on Credly, and was personally recommended by an IBM manager. He completed every lab during Qiskit Global Summer School's dev week and will mentor at QGSS 2026 this July.

His open-source work spans quantum software — including five accepted pull requests during UnitaryHack 2026 — alongside machine learning and low-level systems work in RISC-V. On the HPC side, he runs distributed statevector simulation with NVIDIA CUDA-Q across multiple GPUs and nodes.

"In 2020 — years before ChatGPT — I built a GPT-2 conversational model that spoke Czech, English, Arabic, Polish & German."

The instinct is always the same: take what is barely possible and make it real. From the earliest multilingual language models to today's distributed quantum simulators, the throughline is rigor with imagination.

03 — Process

From idea to result.

01

Discovery

We scope the problem together — quantum feasibility, AI architecture, constraints, and the metrics that define success.

02

Design

I design the algorithm or model, prototype the core, and deliver a clear technical plan with milestones.

03

Build

Implementation with reproducible, tested code and real quantum-backend or multi-GPU integration.

04

Deliver

Documentation, benchmarks, and a clean handover — with optional ongoing research support.

04 — Voices

In their words.
